A collection of photos taken at Vicksburg National Cemetery over the years. Buried here are mostly Union dead from the American Civil War. The small square markers with only a number on top were placed for unknown soldiers. There were many of those. Please click the photos below to open larger images.

The historic entrance arch and gate to Vicksburg National Cemetery has been closed for many years. Entrance is from the Vicksburg National Park.
